Company Rules
We operate based on these guidelines that we've developed and continue to refine over the years:
Rule One: Ambitious ideas, held loosely.
Creating a plan is the first step to making something happen. But you have no idea what you’re doing yet, so be prepared for change. Embrace the pivot.
Rule Two: Know your superpower, know your weaknesses.
Before you ask for advice, know yourself and where you want to go. It will help you and your guide alike.
Rule Three: Belief is your bottom line.
Protect the confidence in your vision, because without it, you’ll never make this happen.
Rule Four: Comfort drives complacency.
Don’t coddle, compel. It’s not our place to make you feel good about yourself. We drive the conversation that ensures you make it.
Rule Five: Nothing is objectively true.
The sooner you understand that no one knows what they are doing and everyone has something to add, the easier this will be.
Rule Six: Thoughtful entrepreneurship, no haphazard startups.
We’re in this to build helpful businesses that mean something to someone. Think twice before you bring your [Ai, NFT, Blockchain, Drop-shipping] pitch deck here.
Rule Seven: No hacking, just helping.
We collect the advice we wish we had earlier. Not so you can sit on a beach making money, but to save you from the dead-ends that others have already found.
Rule Eight: Invite critique and kill your darlings.
Ideas are meant to be shared and no one gets it right the first try. So get the terrible ideas out now.
